Take a look at pleads from Myanmar:
To,
Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and Members of United Nations
United Nations
Date: September 27, 2007 (Thursday)
Sir Secretary-General,
As of yesterday, September 26, 2007, Burma military junta have, AGAIN, shown what their true face is - by brutally killing at least 5 peacefully-protesting Buddhist monks. Reports from witness monks participated in the demonstration said they were brutally beaten to death by soldiers wearing riot police uniforms.
As many as more than 200 other monks and civilian demonstrators were also brutally beaten and severly injured, but were loaded into army trucks and carried away to undisclosed army compounds.
As of this morning, around 04:50 local time, soldiers carried out pre-dawn raid inside the compound of "Ngwe Kyar Yan monastery" in south okkalapa township, Rangoon south, beating and capturing more than 200 monks.
As of this noon, 14:30 local time, monks carrying dead bodies of their camrade monks who were killed by soldiers yesterday, and marching towards Shwedagon Pagoda, the most sacred holy site in Rangoon.
As of just now, 15:30 local time, while I am writing this email, I had a call from my friend, a Rangoon resident witnessing the protest and crackdown, told me that military junta have juat announced that they "will take extreme action" if protesters do not back-off.
Sir Secretary-General, we have had seen the atrocity of this military junta on 18 September 1998, in 1990 and in 2003, and AGAIN yesterday, 26 September 2007.
And in a matter of a few minutes, more of the monks and civillians will be killed.
I am wondering "How Long More the UN, ASEAN and International Communities, let the junta kills peaceful monks, nuns and civillians who are just voicing out for the basic human rights for the people of Burma?"
Sir Secretary-General, please do not let UN to have a bad image in history. Please immediately call for UN Security Council, to send UN Peacekeeping troops to Burma right now .
I, for all people of Burma, presonally request you to "Save lives of innocent people of Burma. Take swift action on military junta".
May Buddha bless people of Burma and God punish military junta of Burma!!!
Regards,
(OpposeDictatorsOfBurma)
